Some anti-Islamic element try to belittle the greatness of Islam by comparing with a dying ideology of communism. They are of the view that since Muslims are in such a bad situation, hence the Islamic ideology much like that of communism must be flawed which brought poverty to its followers. Here is a small comparison between two ideologies.
Islam is a divine religion and system while Communism was a response to Capatalism. Islamic system has stayed in practice around the world for more than thousand years while communism fell apart within half a century. Islamic system made people prosper while communism made them poor. Islamic system is based on divine authority while commuism and any other man made ideology is not. Islamic system has a system of charity and the right of ownership. While communism didn't have the right to ownership.
Islamic civilization is primarily based on the faith in one God and equality and prosperity of all humans regardless of their faith, race, culture etc. Islam has ruled the largest empire the world has ever witnessed. Only for the last 2 centuries or so, muslims have fallen apart due to their differences and parting away from the teachings of true Islam due to various reasons. Islamic civilization being the spiritual empire has shown Europe the light to the modern world through the universities of Qordoba and Toledo. Muslims scientists were the ones who laid down the foundation of modern science. Unlike other faiths, Islam encouraged its followers to use their intellect and explore the mysteries of this universe and exploit the natural resources and phenomenon for the betterment of their societies. The downfall of the present day muslims is their lack of committment to God for which they were pre-warned. The following verses although were primarily addressed to the Children of Israel, the same warning could easily be applied to the Muslims of today:
Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? but what is the reward for those among you who behave like this but disgrace in this life?- and on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. (Chapter 2 Al-Baqra:85)
But since Islam is the final religion, Muslims as a whole are destined to bounce back and will finally be successful in establishing the kingdom of heaven around the globe before the end of this world.
Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it). (Chapter 61 As-Saff:8)
